Why book your Ferry Transfers with James?

We'll recommend the best and most convenient ferry transfer when you book. Then, you can take your pick of the number of cars, passengers and tickets you need. So it's all taken care of as part of your holiday package.

Tickets have limited availability - especially during peak seasons – so adding tickets when you book means first pick of the crossing that works best with your flights.

Which destinations are reached via ferry?

Jetting off for a taste of island life on Gozo, the Dalmatian islets, or one our beautifully peaceful Greek locations? These unspoilt spots can be reached with a quick transfer via ferry. It's easy to add the tickets to your holiday when booking – so there is nothing in the way of you and villa holiday paradise.

Greek Islands

Skopelos: Ferry Crossing Only

Fly to the island of Skiathos, where you'll be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to the nearby port to pick up your ferry connection (10 minutes). The ferry stops at two ports: Glossa (20 minutes) and Skopelos town (1 hour 20 minutes), the port you disembark at will depend on your villa location. Your hire car is then collected at Glossa or Skopelos port (depending where you disembark) and you're free to make your way to your villa.

Paxos: Ferry Crossing Only

You'll fly direct from your chosen UK airport to the neighbouring island of Corfu. From here you'll be met on arrival at the airport and transfer to Corfu's New Port, where you'll board the hydrofoil for Paxos. Hydrofoil is the quickest mode of transport between the two islands and takes approximately one hour. Your hire car is then collected at the port in Paxos.

Meganissi: Car Ferry Crossing

Fly to Preveza on the Greek Mainland and collect your hire car at the airport. From here drive 45 minutes to Nidri port, where you'll take the car ferry crossing to the island of Meganissi. We will provide you with directions to the port, and from the port to the villa as part of your travel documents. You can expect to receive these details 7 – 10 days before departure.

Dalmatian Islands

Whether you've opted for a getaway to heavenly Hvar or beautiful Brac – you'll need to make use of the car ferry crossing to reach your villa.

Fly direct from your chosen UK airport to Split on the Croatian mainland. Collect your hire car and drive 20km to Split's ferry port, where you'll take the car ferry crossing.

Transfers from Split to Brac will disembark at Supertar, with a journey time of 50 minutes.

Transfers from Split to Hvar will disembark at Stari Grad port, with a journey time of 2 hours.

We will provide you with directions to the port, and from the port to the villa as part of your travel documents. You can expect to receive these details 7 – 10 days before departure.

Gozo Ferry Transfers

Gozo is reached via a car ferry crossing, so first you'll fly into beautiful Malta. At the airport you're not met by a representative on arrival, but fear not! Head to the car hire desk to collect both the car and your ferry tickets. A drive to the port at Cirkewwa and you can board the ferry to Mgarr on Gozo.

For the most up-to-date ferry times, be sure to check the Gozo Channel timetable. More information for destination specifics is detailed below, as well as in the travel documents you will receive 7-10 days before departure.

All information about where to go and what to do upon arrival at the airport will be provided on your transfer voucher as part of your travel documents. Travel documents are sent to you 7 – 10 days prior your departure date.

Please note, your return ferry crossing will be scheduled for an early morning departure to ensure you arrive in time for your flight connections.
