Porto Petro, being a sleepy little fishing port, is more about long lunches than nightlife but there are cafés and restaurants with pavement dining along the pretty harbour front where people watching and relaxing long drinks can be an enjoyable and intimate experience.
For livelier nights out the busy resort of Cala d'Or is just along the coast.

The Parc Natural de Mondrago is a beautiful area of protected countryside awarded the status of Natural Park in the 60's and is a haven for wildlife including native tortoise. As well as great swathes of pine forest, offering cool shade ideal for picnics, there are also some stunning beaches including Cala Mondrago, s'Amarador & Fonts s'Alis.
The wide and relatively cosmopolitan attractions of Cala d'Or are just 2kms away and include a multitude of international restaurants and bars. To the North the resorts of Porto Colom and Porto Cristo are well worth a day trip whilst for golfers there is the Vall d'Or golf course just 20 minutes away.
The awesome Cuevas del Drach are just up the coast in Porto Cristo and provide a welcome slice of culture with a candle lit, floating orchestra gliding across the subterranean lake.
