When you stay in one of our Bordeaux villas, you’re never far from the vineyards that have put the region on the map. There are thousands of wine estates in Bordeaux, and many offer tours and tastings suitable for both connoisseurs and amateurs. The beautiful Château de Pitray near St. Emilion specialises in Merlot, while Château Pape-Clément boasts the oldest vineyard in the area. You’ll sample reds, whites, and rosés on a winery tour, where secrets of the grape to glass process are revealed.

Bordeaux is a foodie’s delight, boasting everything from cream-stuffed pastries to grilled duck with lashings of red wine sauce. At restaurants across the region you’ll discover the unique flavour of oysters from the Bay of Arcachon, as well as the famous cèpes de Bordeaux (wild mushrooms) which are a delicacy in France. For something lighter, tuck into charcuterie platters and tranches of creamy cheese topped with black truffle shavings. Finish up with rum-soaked canelés and a glass of Malbec. C’est magnifique!

The city of Bordeaux is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with elegant 18th-century mansions, sleepy squares, and cobbled streets hidden around every corner.
