Resort: Vassilikos in Zakynthos
In Vassilikos, a traditional and untouched area, you’ll find a small selection of shops and tavernas scattered among orchards and lush farmland. The charming, natural and undeveloped beaches here are favoured by local people simply for their peaceful seclusion. We have villas set high on a hillside, close to Ano Vassilikos and within easy reach of Banana Beach and the gorgeous crescent bay of Yerakas - prime breeding ground for the loggerhead turtles and a further two properties in the centre of Vassilikos.
"The villa and all its facilities were fantastic. We would, however, not return to the same villa, only because life is too short and there are lots more fab places to visit. "
Mrs Hooper, Burntwood, May 2011
"THE HOUSEKEEPER, CAME IN EVERYDAY TO EITHER CHANGE THE BEDCLOTHES OR TOWELS OR BATHMATS ETC. SHE WAS AN ABSOLUTE DREAM AND WORKED FAR TOO HARD.
BEING IN OUR LATE SEVENTIES THE ONLY AWKWARD PART OF THE PROPERTY WAS NEGOTIATING THE STAIRCASE WHEN DESCENDING AS THERE WERE NO HAND RAILS SO WE HAD TO BE VERY CAREFUL INDEED. THE POOL AND JACUSSI WERE VERY WELCOME AS THE TEMPERATURE ROSE TO AROUND 30 DEGREES! WE CERTAINLY DID SOME KILOMETRES WHILST ON THE ISLAND AS WE DID ENJOY SEEING ALL OF THE MANY PLACES OF INTEREST THAT WERE AVAILABLE AND THE FOOD WAS GOOD AS WELL. "
Mr McAndrew, Kings Langley, July 2010
"The villa is absoulutely lovely, the beautiful style of the old rustic windmill which the convenience of hi-quality modern appliances. There are lots of quiant decorations placed around the villa giving it a homely personal touch. The cleaner was very thorough in cleaning and tidying the villa almost every day, she made the villa look lovely (we especially loved the bed linins she used). The villa is in one of the best locations of the island, we would highly recommend visiting 'Simply Greek' for evening meals and 'The Coffee House' for breakfast or lunch. The Deli next to it is good for convenience shopping and the owner is very friendly. The Gerakas beach is a short drive from the villa and is beautiful, soft fine sand, friendly small fish and clear waters with sand underneath, making the beach perfect although beach sunbeds cost 4 euros per bed. The villa is behind another villa on the road, with gates securing the whole property which isn't shown on the website so is confusing when finding the villa. The island is known for loggerhead turtles but we found out the best time to see the hatching turtles is August. We would recommend renting a boat from Keri and watching the sunset.
We had a fantastic time, best villa we've ever stayed in and hope to return :) "
Mr Webb, Huddersfield, September 2009
"The cleaner, is probably the most accomplished on the planet. She was also engagingly pleasant and helpful "

Mrs Brooks, Maldon, May 2008
"OMG!.... what a fantastic holiday we have just had, we want to tell everyone about the villa but also want to keep it to ourselves in case we can't get the dates we want next year. If you get the opportunity go there - go! the villa is superb, the owner is lovely and takes such good care of you and the village of Vassilikos is warm, friendly and welcoming. Do we want to go back? you bet we can't wait! "
