Xewkija in Gozo
Xewkija is dominated by a huge rotunda church in the centre of the square completed in 1971 after some 20 years' in construction, here you will find a bar/cafe and a shop. The area was settled by the Arabs and their influence has lasted well – several balconies on the 17th century houses are in the richly-carved Moorish style. Nearby Mgarr ix-Xini offers a relatively quiet bathing spot with a small, shingle beach and the main capital of Victoria is just a five minute drive away for a wider shoice of amenities.

The James Villas rep was very helpful. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
