"Fantastic villa, couldn't fault it, would love to go back again. Great location, lovely village and really friendly people."

"Excellent villa - with great views over Souda Bay, and very well equipped. Pictures don't do the actual views justice. Quiet location with a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance in Plaka. Owners visit twice a week to change bed linen and towels and to clean once a week. Loal rep, was excellent and provided lots of useful local information. Pool was a bit on the cold side for end of Sept/beginning of Oct. Sign to villa was difficult to read, but we found it in the end! Great, relaxing holiday and we've never been let down by James Villas."

"The views were stunning. There were many light bulbs not working etc. and the outside lights didn't come on until gone 10pm but overall we were really pleased with it. The bread oven is excellent for cooking exceptionally succulent 'roast' chicken!"

"Really the only problem with our villa was a dog tied up nearby that barked all night long and kept us awake. We think that the owner had something to do with the adjacent villa (possibly another James' villa) so maybe a quick word would solve the problem... Apart from that the place really was brilliant with everything of the highest possible standard. We will be back!"

"We, myself, partner and 73 year old mother, stayed at the Villa Minos in Plaka Crete for 2 weeks in Sept 09. As with previous James Villa holidays we have taken,this location and villa were just out of this world. The villa was in 3 stories with a granny flat (which we called it) contained on the ground floor which my mother just loved, this had a walk in shower, kitchen, dining area, tv, dvd, soft seating area, bed with pink mosquito net which she adored. Sliding doors took you to the pool. This is a great extra contained living area. This villa had everything to make us feel at home. It was as usual very clean, the owners paid us a visit and made us feel very,very welcome. The James villa rep also paid us his visit and was a mine of local information. The view from the villa overlooking the Bay of Souda was amazing at sunset. The walk of 5 mins to the village of Plaka is a joy of meandering through between the old Greek houses, the village itself has great places to eat and the locals are so welcoming. I would recommend this villa for a quiet holiday as there are few villas around, although the village of Almirida is 5 mins by car if that, down the hill and is a bit busier. The living area on the ground floor is a great idea. We would most certainly stay there again without hesitation."
