The charming village of Dubravka is set inland from the Dalmatian coast, amid beautiful rolling countryside in the south of the region. Offering plenty of character and tradition, the village is the perfect place to enjoy an authentic holiday, a world away from the hustle and bustle of the big tourist destinations. A traditional way of life is still enjoyed in Dubravka, and the village is a great place to meet the locals and experience the true character of the region. The nearest beaches are only 10 kilometres away, meaning there are plenty of opportunities to spend days at the beach. The historic city of Dubrovnik is just under an hour’s drive north of the village, where you can enjoy great days out shopping and exploring the beautiful architecture of this picturesque port. Day trips to Montenegro and its beautiful coastline are also possible from Dubravka, as the village is only a few kilometres from the border.
Mirca, Brac 2 1 hr 30 mins from Split Time from airport
This quaint coastal village on the idyllic island of Brac, offers a quiet location to really relax beside the sea. Time has stood still within the beautiful old village centre, which still boasts a relaxed and traditional way of life – offering a great chance to meet the locals and immerse yourself in culture and tradition. Mirca features a small fishing harbour, and also crescent-shaped pebble beach where you can enjoy a dip in the inviting waters of the Adriatic Sea. The beach is flanked by lush pine woods stretching down towards the shore. The town also provides a great base for exploring the beautiful scenery of Brac. Located on the island of Brac, Mirca is accessible via a ferry crossing from Split on the mainland.

Baska Voda is a bustling coastal town nestling between the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea and a dramatic backdrop of rugged mountain scenery. The town boasts a small harbour as well as some great beaches, and is popular with those who are looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea. A wide range of facilities are on offer including a selection of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, pharmacy, bank and post office. The town still retains many of its local traditions and during the summer, a variety of music concerts and other cultural events take place locally. The popular resort of Makarska is just a 15 minute drive south along the coast, offering a wide range of facilities, as well as the opportunity to enjoy boat trips to neighbouring islands including Brac.
Dubrovnik 1
Dubrovnik is situated in Southern Dalmatia, the most beautiful part of the Adriatic coast known as the Pearl of the Adriatic. A magnificent curtain of walls surrounds marble streets and baroque buildings that exude a pearly light in the Adriatic sun. The main pedestrian thoroughfare, Placa, is a melange of cafes and shops with outstanding monuments at either end. Churches, monasteries and museums ornamented with finely carved stone recall an eventful history and a vibrant artistic tradition. Beyond the city is a heavenly landscape of beaches, wooded peninsulas and a sea strewn with lush islands.
Konavle, Konavle 1 20 mins from Dubrovnik Time from airport
Konavle – a place in the very south of Croatia, is the most southern part of today's Dubrovnik Riviera, with whose purchase the Dubrovnik Republic rounded off its territory in the 15th century. Konavle is a region with particular natural beauties and contrasts: mountain and valley, green hills and stone, the blue and the green fringed by the Konavle mountains in the North, bordered by the Adriatic Sea in the South, it reaches from the entry into the Bay of Kotor to the peninsula of Prevlaka in the East, and in the West, it inclines down to the cosy coves of Obod and Cavtat. Cavtat is the largest settlement, with a beautiful beach, shops bars and restuarants to be visited with Dubrovnik only 30 mintutes away by car.
