Resort: Pollensa in Mallorca
Just a few miles inland from the coast, the picturesque old Roman town of Pollensa offers a traditional Mallorcan experience. Wander around its narrow cobbled streets, discover crafts and clothes shops and join in the relaxed café life - Spanish style. You can purchase fruit, vegetables, cheese and olives direct from the farmers at the Sunday market, which is located on the Placa Major and the maze of little streets leading up to the Calvari steps. At the top of the steps, you’ll find the Calvari church and spectacular views across the town to the convent at Puig de Maria.
"fanrastic location. It could not have been better. Just a little noise from the property next door's workshop and music! "
Mrs Young, Radstock, June 2010
"The villa was in a beautiful location everything about it was suburb apart from the noisy neighbour "

"The directions to the villa were OK until the last bit. As we arrived in the dark, it was difficult to spot the villa name - there was no information as to which side of the road to look. There was no information as to where to find the key box, we had to phone the rep. Even if we had arrived in daylight it would not have been easy to find. We generally liked the villa - liking the traditional Spanish feel of the decor, and the outdoor terrace and barbeque was good. However, the interior lighting was poor and some rooms smelt damp (especially the dining room - off the kitchen - this made this room unusable and we had to keep the doors shut to stop the smell pervading the whole of the villa). Fortunately the weather was good during our stay and we were able to eat outside. We felt that the villa may have got 'end of season' problems - the soft furnishings in the lounge felt like they needed cleaning, the upstairs shower was broken and appeared to have been broken for some time (and in spite of reporting this to the rep, was never fixed whilst we were there). The downstairs shower worked OK but had mouldy tiles. Towels provided were not very clean (or very nice). The swimming pool was very cold - we appreciate that it was not heated but this should have been made clear in the brochure.
The outside of the villa was excellent - the gardens, terrace and views were great. The location was also good for us - just outside the main town meant that we could easily walk into Pollensa. "

Mrs Mcguinness, Fochabers, August 2007
"Overall I can't fault the holiday we have just returned from. The villa was excellent, exactly as described. It was spotless and the lady who came in to see us cleaned whether we needed it or not! We were using the villa as a base for walking. The holiday was excellent, great value and the freedom a villa holiday gives you is amazing, you can just chill out and suit yourselves! We will definately be back next year if not sooner justt researching where the good walking is ! "
