Resort: Gale in Algarve
With a golden sandy beach stretching for five kilometres and edged with a backdrop of rugged cliffs, the small resort of Gale has become increasingly popular over the past few years. A number of beachside bars and cafes are dotted along the coastline, ideal for a spot of lunch while you listen to the sound of waves. Most of our villas here are in quiet residential areas, with more restaurants, mini-markets and bars as well as a large supermarket. "our rep, was extremely helpful - she made special visits to us to deliver written directions to get to certain restuarants and the local market. Also, when we considered extending our holiday (unfortunately, the weather was not great when we arrived but it was glorious by the time we left!) she looked into changing our flights and the cost of another villa for us as ours was booked up. the only downside to the holiday really was the poor weather to start and the mosquitos - which we weren't aware there was a problem with as we had not been to Portugal before.
